Around mid-afternoon the Melbourne media started telling everyone that they might want to head home from work before the storm to end all storms descended on the city. These things have a habit of causing flash flooding and hail stones the size of golf balls. With the storm coming in off the bay, I pedaled home at double speed helped by the winds. Back at the apartment, Meg and I watched from the windows as a ball of swirling clouds and lighting went by. In the end the worst of it missed the city and hit Eastern Victoria instead, but it was still quite a site.
